To All Members: Propositions for the AGM

posted 17 Sep 2018, 12:13 by John Palmer

With reference to League Rule 18 can I remind all members that propositions for next January's AGM must be notified to the League Secretary 21 days before November's General Meeting. That means they need to be in by 1st November 2018.

From the Secretary

Dear Members,
I feel that it is my duty to write to you prior to the Pre-AGM of the Mid-Shropshire Senior Citizens Bowling League in November 2018.
Our chairman Don Holding has advised me that he does not wish to stand for reelection as Chairman for next season. Whilst we respect his wishes I would also like to point out that the following positions will need to be filled.
President, Chairman, Vice Chairman, Fixture Secretary.
As you can understand, without these positions being filled, the league as such will not be able to function.
I am therefore asking for Nominations from all clubs for help in approaching your members with a view to taking any of these positions on.
I don't need to emphasise how important this is because if these officers are not forthcoming, there is a serious possibility of the league folding.
I look forward to your replies to this request as soon as possible.
Yours sincerely,
John R Ford (Secretary)

To All Clubs

This is to let you all know that I have had to make a change to the result of the team Knock Out Competition Division 3 on 21st June 2018 involving Highley 'B 'team Versus Wrock Wood  'B'.
It has come to light that Highley B team had played a Division one player in the  second team.
Highley have therefore breached Competition Rule No 1(a) which states that a player can only play up, not down.
After speaking to all officers of the League they all said that this was the right decision so I have changed the information on the web site,
All teams involved Trench (And Bridgnorth Venue) have been told of this.
Wrock Wood B   v   Trench  date and  venue to be arranged.
I have given them 14 days to play the match.
