COMPETITION RULES (Amended as agreed at 2024 AGM)
All Competitions Finals will be subject to the B.C.G.B.A. Dress Code
The singles and doubles competitions although free to enter should incur a £2 fee per player to be paid to the host club.
INDIVIDUAL MERIT
All entries must be 60 or over and played in the league during the current season.
Last 8 to qualify for final. Note … scratch out time 15 minutes before start time of 12.30pm.
DOUBLES
All entries must be 60 or over and played in the league during the current season,
Each pair must be on the registered list of the same club, and have played in the league during the current season,

OVER 75`s
Players must have reached the age of 75 and played in the league during the current season, prior to the date of the qualifying round. Note … scratch out time 15 minutes before start time of 12.30pm.
Games in this competition will be 21up in all rounds.
CHARITY SHIELD (THE HUNTSMAN OF LITTLE WENLOCK)
(a) The team shall consist of 6 players who have played for their club.
(b). Due to the Handicap System no established player from a higher division will be allowed to play for a team of a lower Division in this competition.
No player to play for more than one team.
Each team will be handicapped according to which division they will be playing in.
All games to be 21 up. Start time 1.30pm.
Away team has the jack, except in the quarter final, semi –final and final to be played on neutral greens, where the jack will be decided by the toss of a coin.
The winner will be the team with the highest aggregate after the handicap has been added or subtracted.
In the event of a tie, the team winning the most games will be declared the winners. If still a tie. one player from each team Nominated prior to the start of the game will play a game of 15 up with the following handicaps. Div 1 … scratch, Div 2 … receives 2 Points, Div 3 … receives 3 Points, Div 4 … receives 4 Points.
THE TEAM DRAWN FIRST WILL PLAY AT HOME IRRESPECTIVE OF HANDICAP.
Handicaps as follows: Div 1… Scratch, Div 2…. +12 points, Div 3…. +24 points, Div 4 …. +36 points.
Any two (2) teams from the same division drawn against each other, the team drawn away to receive a +12 point handicap.
Any two (2) team from the same club and the same division drawn against each other will both start on scratch.
The losing finalist to receive the JACK JONES CHARITY SHIELD.
Each team entered will pay a minimum entry fee of £10.00. Teams deciding not to enter this Competition, the league would ask them to make a donation to the charity.
All Monies will go to a Local Hospice.
A list of cup final teams together with reserves must be given to the competition secretary by both clubs 14 days before the final takes place.
All cup competitions including finals that are played on neutral greens both clubs will be required to pay green fees to the host club nominal amount £2 per player minimum.
Any player who is a member of another club playing in a different league will not be allowed to play in any round or final of a cup competition if it is played on any green of the club of which that player is a member.
Due to cancellation, Cup Competition matches must be played on or before the allocated date this can only be changed under special circumstances ie; Bereavement.
To be eligible to play in the competition after the first round, players must have played at least three league games in the current season.
