Competition Results 2022


Over 75's Played on Thursday 23rd June at Bridgnorth

Fourteen bowlers competed for the Over 75's Trophy and the draw can be seen on the Results Service.

Congratulations go to current SCGBA Deputy President Mick Jones of Sir John Bayley who beat John Baines of Highley 21-16 in the final. In the semi-finals, Mick beat Gino Farruggio of his own club 21-14 while John ended the hopes of Tony Steadman (Bylet) 21-11.

Individual Merit Finals Played on 18th August at Trench BC

The finals of the Individual Merit took place at Trench on Thursday 18th August. Following some excellent bowling, the trophy was won by Ian Evans of Madeley CC narrowly beating Graham Turner of St Georges 21-20 in the final.

Doubles Finals Played on Thursday 1st September at Edgmond

Ian Evans & Les Mumford (Madeley Cricket Club) retained the Doubles Trophy that they won last season with a 21-18 win over Norman Harvey & Keith Pessall (SJB) in a high quality final.

In the semi-finals, Ian & Les beat Bob Barber & Jon Madeley (St Georges) 21-10 and Norman & Keith beat club mates Vince Cruise & Dave Maiden by the same score.

Charity Shield and Consolation Finals Played on Thursday 5th October at Bylet

Consolation Shield

Division 4 champions Newport B had 5 winners and beat Allscott B of Division 3 by 47 shots in the final of the Consolation Shield. The match result can be found here.
