Welcome to the  Mid-Shropshire Senior Citizens Crown Green Bowling League.

The league was established in the Telford area by Mr John Jones in 1976. Today, it consists of some 26 clubs which compete in teams of six in four divisions on Wednesday afternoons.

When launched in 2011, this web site provided a full results service based on the old PC based 'allbut' system managed by Fixture Secretary Frank Booth but this was replaced after three years by Mike Beckett's revolutionary online results system to which we now link.

Doubles Finals

The doubles competition was completed at Sinclair on Thursday 29th August. Congratulations to the winners, Cliff Johnson & Steve Davis who beat St Georges teammates Paul Beer & Keith Pessall in the final.

Charity Shield & Consolation Semi-finals

The draws have been made for the semi-finals of the Charity Shield & Consolation. Ties will be played on Thursday 12th September. Venues now confirmed.

Individual Merit Final Results

Congratulations to Dave Price (White Horse HUSC) on winning the Individual Merit at Bridgnorth, beating Keith Pessall (St Georges) 21-19 in the final. Losing semi-finalists were Keith's team mate Cliff Johnson and Allan Gaut (Wrockwardine Wood). Full scores are here and more details here.

Charity Shield & Consolation - Quarter Finals

The quarter finals of both competitions will be played on Thursday 8th August at neutral venues, 1.30pm start. Details are on the Results Service here and here and copied below. Please note that the handicaps displayed on the results service may not be correct.

All teams should pay £12 to the host club to cover greenkeeper fees. Host clubs please ensure that the greens are cut on the day.

Over 75's Played on Thursday 27th June at Sinclair

Tony Roche of Sir John Bayley added to his impressive list of veteran's titles with a 21-9 final win over Newport's Mick Jones. All scores are here.

Recording Match Results

Following a recent dispute over a match result, clubs are reminded of league Rule 13.
13. The home captain or representative to insert result of the match on the web site within 48 hours of match being played, all results cards must be checked by both captains as an agreed result and signed by both accordingly, any discrepancies arising from this result must be agreed and resolved at the end of the match.
